Connect zSign to Zapier

Updated by Raz

Zapier connects to zSign with an API key. There is no OAuth.

  1. In zSign, open Settings, then Developers, then API keys.
  2. Click Create New API Key.
  3. Copy the key when zSign shows it. That dialog is the only time you see the full key.
  4. In Zapier, paste the key into the API key field.

The same names Zapier shows are listed at zsign.io/integrations/zapier.

Instant triggers

There are six instant triggers. Each enabled trigger creates one subscription, and an organization can have at most 10.

TriggerWhen it fires
New Completed EnvelopeEvery recipient has signed and the envelope is completed.
New SignatureOne recipient signs. This fires once per signer.
New EnvelopeAn envelope is sent.
New Declined EnvelopeA recipient declines to sign.
New Change RequestA signer requests changes.
New Voided EnvelopeA sent envelope is voided.

New Completed Envelope returns the completed document ID. That ID is not the original send ID. Use it for Download Signed PDF.

Actions

  • Send Envelope uploads a PDF and sends it for signing. The PDF needs zSign field tags, for example {signature*:signer}.
  • Download Signed PDF downloads the sealed PDF for a completed envelope. Pass the completed document ID from New Completed Envelope.
  • Remind Recipient sends one signing reminder to a recipient who has not signed yet.

Searches

  • Find Envelope finds envelopes by name, status, recipient, or id.
  • Find Envelope Status returns an envelope's status, its recipients, and the completed document ID.

Credits

Only Send Envelope uses a credit: 1 per envelope, the same as sending from the dashboard or the API. Connecting, triggers, searches, Remind Recipient, and Download Signed PDF do not use a credit.
